Special drive against traffic offenders: Cops collect Rs 3.2 lakh fine in 684 cases

Mysuru: In a special vehicle inspection drive conducted by the city police to rein in traffic offenders on Wednesday, a whopping 2448 vehicles were checked, 684 cases were booked and Rs 3,22,200 fine amount was collected and 47 vehicles were seized.
It was a joint operation conducted by both traffic police and law and order policemen.
The traffic police inspected 1093 vehicles, booked 517 cases and collected Rs 2,38,200 fine amount and seized 34 vehicles.
While law and order police inspected 1,355 vehicles, booked 167 cases, collected Rs 84,000 fine and seized 13 vehicles.
