Murder! Advise to ‘wheeling’ youths proves costly, 26-year-old hacked to death

Mysuru: A 26-year-old youth was allegedly hacked to death over a trivial at Kethupura in T Narsipur taluk on Saturday night. Six youths of the same village have been arrested.

Siddaraju was allegedly attacked by a 10-member gang of armed youths. They threw chilli powder into the eyes of Siddaraju before hitting him with a machette.

The accused identified as Subhash, Chandan, Puneeth, Vinay, Mahendra and Ravi were arrested within a few hours of the incident.

According to police, Siddaraju had advised the accused against doing wheeling on two-wheelers on the narrow road of the village.

This had led to a clash among them and a complaint had been lodged in this regard at police station two days ago.

Irked, the youths picked up a quarrel with Siddaraju that ended in his murder. Siddaraju’s uncle who went to the rescue of his nephew also sustained injuries.

Bannur police have registered a case.
