Mysuru: Integrity in diversity marked Gandhi Jayanti in the city on Friday.
Religious leaders irrespective of Hindu, Muslim, Christian and Jain rendered prayers at the programme organised at Town Hall in the city.
Prior to this, Ravishankar and troupe rendered songs on Mahatma Gandhi, highlighting the preaching of the great personality.
The life and times of Gandhi was also read on the occasion.
Earlier Cooperation and District Minister S T Somashekar offered floral tributes to the portrait of Gandhiji.
Mayor Tasneem, Deputy Mayor Sridhar, MLAs S A Ramadass, Tanveer Sait and L Nagendra, Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri, MCC Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde, DCP ( law and order) Dr A N Prakash Gowda were present.
