Bengaluru: After getting trolled for his “sarcastic” and “derogatory” take on India’s third lunar mission, actor Prakash Raj has now reacted to the trolls stating “Hate sees only Hate.”
Actor Prakash Raj had recently tweeted a picture of a Malayali man pouring tea on the moon tweeting “Breaking News: First picture coming from the Moon by #VikramLander Wowww #justasking”. This had taken the social media by a storm and netizens did not mince any words to criticise him and some even calling him “traitor”.
Many wondered why he was sarcastic and insensitive towards the Chandrayaan – 3 mission when the whole country was proud of. They found his tweet derogatory and wanted him to respect scientists at least. As soon as his tweet went viral, some Hindu leaders lodged a complaint against him at Banahatti police station in Bagalkot. The leaders demanded action against the actor too.
But the actor has now reacted to all the criticism saying “Hate sees only Hate” and also clarified that his tweet was “a joke of Armstrong times” referring to the entrepreneurial skills of people of Kerala.
On Tuesday, the actor tweeted, “Hate sees only Hate…I was referring to a joke of #Armstrong times… celebrating our Kerala chailwala…which chaiwala did the TROLLS see??..if you dont get a joke then the joke is on you..GROW UP #justasking.”
One of the users came to his rescue by saying that “this was a classic joke that how we find Keralites in every corner of the world and how the first thing Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin saw when they stepped foot on the moon was a Malayali selling tea there.”
