Film buffs in for visual treat from today at Rangayana

Mysuru: Curtains were unveiled on film festival one of the main attractions of Bahuroopi-2022 annual theatre festival at Rangayana in the city on Saturday.
Karnataka Forest Development Authority chairperson and film actor Tara Anuradha inaugurated the screening of film festival at Rangachavadi within the precincts of theatre repertory.

Bahuroopi Film festival themed on Motherhood, will be screening total 24 movies with three movies including one documentary screening each day for nine days. On the last day popular movies will be screened as a part of the festival.
“Movies are not just for the sake of entertainment, as it is a part of the society. Indian cinema is even projected in contemporary movies. Festivals have emerged as stage to hunt talents and debate. So film festivals are necessary to understand the powerful media”, said Naturalist K Manu the convener of film festival.

“Mysuru is also not behind in producing talents as each day an average of six talents from the city can be seen on small screens and big screens. Mysuru is culturally active and rich place with equal scope for innovations”, said Manu.
In her inaugural address Tara Anuradha said “cinema is a composition of various art forms and audience are the supreme”.
Rangayana Director Addanda C Cariyappa, Deputy Director of Kannada and Culture Department Nirmala Matapathi, festival coordinator Anju Singh, Joint Director V N Mallikarjuna Swamy were present.
