Yoga practice: Most corporators stay away

Mysuru: Two day is left for International Yoga Day on June 21, but not many corporators seem to be ready. On Wednesday, a practice session was organised for the 65 corporators of Mysuru City Corporation on the palace premises, but barely a few turned up.
A total of 30 people had turned up for the practice, which included only 17 corporators including Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath and Deputy Mayor Shafi Ahmed and officials.
A meeting had been conducted in prior two days ago, to conduct a practiçe session involving the corporators, to give a call to the general public to take part in the yoga day in good numbers. But, the lacklustre response from the corporators was the highlight.
MCC Commissioner Shilpa Nag, Assistant Commissioner Shivanada Murthy took the lead of the officials in practicing yogasana.
