Woman Congress leader found dead

Vijayapura: A Congress leader was found dead under mysterious circumstances under a bridge at Basavana Bagewadi in the district on Friday.
Reshma Padekannur( 45) is that Congress party leader, whose partly blood stained body was found in the early hours.
Going by her swollen face and bruises, it is suspected to be a murder case. She was last seen with a politician from a different party, according to sources close to her relatives.
She was earlier with Janata Dal ( Secular) party and defected to congress during recent assembly election. She had unsuccessfully contested the assembly election on JD(S) ticket from Devara Hipparagi constituency in 2013.
