What’s Modi’s priority? Yediyurappa aren’t you ashamed?, asks Siddaramaiah

Mangaluru: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah has lambasted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on August 31.

Siddaramaiah who visited flood affected areas in the coastal city, addressed the party workers at Town Hall.

Siddaramaiah who took an umbrage at the carapace attitude of the prime minister and Chief Minister, was perplexed about their priorities(?) at the time when the State is hit by a worst ever flood in the last 10 years.

“Modi is touring foreign countries, when the States like Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Odisha are severely affected by flood. It’s the prime duty of the prime minister to visit flood affected areas, but Modi has not made time to visit any such places. It raises a question- What’s Modi’s priority?

In State, Yediyurappa has said recently ” I will explain the situation to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the State on September 7″. Yediyurappa aren’t you ashamed? The State elected 25 MPs from BJP to Lok Sabha and no MPs have taken a delegation to prime minister to seek his attention.

Siddaramaiah who listed the failures of BJP led government both at the State and centre said “The people of dakshina kannada should at least now understand that, Congress should be in the office to fulfil their aspirations”.

In all likelihood, Yediyurappa led government may not remain in the office for remaining term of three-and-a-half-years.

The party workers should be ready for interim elections and the party will surely bounce back to power, said Siddaramaiah predicting the pulse of the people.
