Bharath (20) from Paduvarahalli, Praveen (20) from Ramakrishnanagar and Varun (21) from Hebbal are the deceased youths. They drowned in the river, while two of their friends Manoj and Vignesh who knew swimming managed to swim to the river bank.
All the five were studying degree at a private college in Mysuru city. They had gone to Meenakshipura on three motorbikes.
Yelwala police have registered a case.
