1 min read

Mysuru: A marathon runner from Bengaluru is on a bicycle expedition to add power to the fight against sexual assaults demanding strong enforcement of law against the rapists.

Kiran V is meeting all the deputy commissioners and submitting memoranda to tighten laws and create awareness against heinous crime against women.

He is pursuing BA second year at Government College, Bannerghatta, Bengaluru.

Kiran told Mysoorunews.com ” I am a Bengalurian and have travelled 3500 kilometres in 86 days creating awareness against rape. I was shocked to hear about the rape of a minor girl in 2020 and it acted as a spur to spread awareness.”

On Monday Kiran reached Mysuru after covering 26 districts.

Kiran told ” Initially the response to the campaign in first 10 districts I visited was cold. Later my campaign received a huge support on social media and the response is good now.”

As part of his campaign, Kiran has Chamarajanagar, Mandya and Ramnagar districts on his itinerary.
