SHGs at JSS Urban Haath get a pat from senior women officers

Mysuru: On International Women’s Day, senior women officers from various departments visited Nagara Samrudhi Mela, where self-help groups are showcasing their products at JSS Urban Haath in Mysuru on Sunday.
For the first time, JSS Urban Haath has allocated its space for women self-help groups to exhibit their products.
Uma Mahadevan, General Secretary, Panchayath Raj Department, Shilpa Nag, IAS, State Rural Development Agency, State Abhinaya Urban Development Agency Day NULM Planner Sumathi visited the mela and interacted with women participating in the mela.
Officers appreciated the women help groups’ craftsmanship and their determination to stay financially independent.
Dr Arundhati Chandrasekhar, NULM project officer and Sivananjaswamy, Planning Officer of JSS Mysore Urban Haath and co–ordinator Rakesh Rai were present.
