SAMAVARTHANA marks third Graduation Day of Christ College, Mysuru

Mysuru: Christ College, Srirampura, Mysuru celebrated its third Graduation day “SAMAVARTHANA” on Saturday, in its campus.

The celebrations started with the academic procession in which the dignitaries Registrar (Evaluation) University of Mysore Prof K M Mahadevan, President, STES Mysuru, Rev Fr Dr Augustine P A, Secretary Rev Fr Renish Varghese, Principal Christ College Mysuru, Rev Fr Jinto Jose, Academic Coordinator Rev Fr Rejo Jacob , Heads of various departments and student coordinator were chaperone by the college choir.

The dignitaries and the graduates were graced by the invocation lead Rev Fr Rejo Jacob and followed by the lighting of the lamp.

The Principal extended hearty welcome to all the dignitaries, invitees, parents, faculty and graduates.

Rev Fr Dr Augustine P A delivered the presidential note to the graduates by saying that “You are the product of the past. Success brings consistency, confidence and courage which are very key actions of success. You are in- charge of your happiness.”

Prof K M Mahadevan declared the Graduation Day open followed by the introduction of students by COE, Prof Johnson W S.

About 100 graduates and Gold Medalists Anu Maria Sabu, Sona Saji and Mimi Merin John were felicitated by Prof K M Mahadevan, Rev Fr Augustine P A and Rev Fr Renish who handed over the University and STES cash prizes to them.

In his address, Prof K M Mahadevan said “Nature is good enough to protect all where each one of us are highly responsible to respect it.” 

Mahadevan stressed more on inculcating the essential tools of humanity like mercy, compassion, pity, kind and love towards the fellow. The teachers must teach happiness inside the classroom, as well as to show the students the richness of heart is filled by mercy.”

Assistant Prof Sowmya Alex delivered the vote of thanks and the Graduation Day ceremony concluded with the rendition of National anthem.

The parents expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the faculty and management for taking more responsibility in shaping the future of students considered as the pillars of the nation.
