Mysuru: Finally, after 11 days of being on hot chase of ‘Santro Ravi’ the police nabbed ‘Santro Ravi’ alias KS Manjunath from Vadodara in Gujarat on Friday.

‘Santro Ravi’ has been accused of trafficking women, dealing in transfers of officers, cheating women and other crimes.

A complaint has been registered against him at Vijayanagar police station in Mysuru.

After his pictures with a couple of BJP ministers went viral, his second wife who belongs to Scheduled Tribe Community took the help of NGO, Odanadi in Mysuru and lodged a complaint with the police.

According to the complaint, ‘Santro Ravi’ had kept his previous marriage details hidden with his second wife and married her. However – according to the complainant – he has been accused of dowry harassment, criminal conspiracy, domestic violence among others.

Although, he has been in and out of station on bail earlier, his luck ran out when his pictures with several ministers went viral causing much embarrassment to the ruling BJP government in the State. Apart from this purported audio clippings of ‘Santro Ravi’ dealing with transfers of police or bureaucrats that too went viral had become a headache to the government, forcing the police to act swiftly.

ADGP Alok Kumar had convened a meeting of police officers who were investigating into the case, early this week. On Friday, he had told mediapersons that he was not leaving Mysuru until the police arrested him.
