Mysuru: Frequent change of sim cards, cars and location that ‘Santro Ravi’ alias KS Manjunath, accused of trafficking women used as tactics to evade arrest, finally ran out of his luck at Ahemdabad in Gujarat on Friday. The Mysuru police have arrested the accused with the help of Gujarat police and he will be brought to Mysuru on Saturday, where a complaint has been registered against him by his wife at Vijayanagar police station in Mysuru, said ADGP Alok Kumar.

Addressing the media here on Friday, ADGP Alok Kumar said ‘Santro Ravi’ is a habitual criminal who was well-versed with the tactics to evade arrest.

He informed that in 2005, he was arrested under the Goonda Act, but he came out on bail, but was back at his wrongdoings.

“He is a hardcore criminal. He was in jail for 11 months earlier under the Goonda Act. So, he knows, how to escape and how to evade arrest. Everyday, he used to change his locations and sim cards. Apart from hiding in Mandya and Ramnagar, he was hiding in Kochi and Pune. However, our men tracked him down,” said the police officer.

Along with the accused, they have also nabbed three more persons, Madhusudhan, Satish and Ramji.

The police officer said that he is now unrecognizable with his moustache saved and he had gone bald. However, the accused cannot outsmart the police, though, he added. The police officer further said that they are now tracking all those who helped him.
