PM Modi’s visit to Mysuru and Chamarajanagar: Over 1,000 security personnel keep vigil

Mysuru: In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts on Saturday and Sunday, security has been beefed up in both the districts.
Over 1,000 police personnel are manning the venues where the prime minister is scheduled to visit. They include, Mandakalli airport, Oval Grounds helipad, Hotel Radisson Blu Hotel, Karnataka State Open University Convocation Auditorium and Melukamanahalli helipad, Bandipur Tiger Reserve reception centre and Theppakadu Elephant camp.
As a preventive measure, hundreds of officers and staff who will come in contact with PM Modi have undergone mandatory Covid19 RTPCR Test. Barricades have been erected at designated points.
Meanwhile, a special postal stamp dedicated to Project Tiger will be launched at Bandipur Tiger Reserve. PM Modi is expected to garland forest martyrs memorial at BTR.
