PM Modi’s visit: No safari, homestays, lodges, resorts in Bandipur from April 6 to 9

Chamarajanagar: In view of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bandipur National Park on April 9 to take part in 50th year celebrations of Project Tiger, Safari and entry and stay of tourists at resorts, lodges and homestays in the limits of tiger reserve has been temporarily prohibited from April 6 to 9.

Deputy Commissioner D S Ramesh who has issued the orders in this regard has stated that “Following a requisition from Superintendent of Police to temporarily ban Safari for the public, to take up precautionary measures on road management and security, safari is prohibited under Section 141 (D) of CrPC 1973.”

Following a similar requisition from Field Director and Conservator of Forest, Bandipur Tiger Reserve, the order temporarily prohibiting the entry and stay at resorts, lodges and homestays in the periphery of the forest.
