New Delhi: While the name ‘India’ or ‘Bharat’ is dominating every debate on social media and even television channels, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed global leaders at the G20 Summit in New Delhi with his seat bearing name plate ‘Bharat’.
Over the past one week, several reports have said that right from G20 Summit invitation cards to even the identity cards of those participating in the Summit have Bharat instead of India. But, Prime Minister Modi addressing the gathering with the name card saying ‘Bharat’, the debate may now be inclined towards ‘Bharat’.
Several videos and photographs shown the placard before PM as Bharat are going viral on social media.
However, PM Modi while delivering inaugural address at the Summit said “India’s G20 Presidency has become a symbol of ‘Sabka Sath’ inside and outside of the country. This has become thepeople’s G20 in India and over 200 meetings were held across the country.”
A host of world leaders including US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak have arrived in New Delhi for the Summit.
