11 killed in Rajasthan as speeding truck rams into bus

Bharatpur: In a ghastly incident, at least 11 people killed and 12 others were injured when a speeding truck rammed into a stationed bus on a bridge at Bharatpur National Highway in Rajasthan in the wee hours of Wednesday.

It is said that the bus was parked on a bridge as it had ran out of fuel. While some passengers alighted from the bus, many were sleeping when a speeding truck rammed into it killing 11 people instantly. It is said that the bus was travelling from rajasthan’s Pushkar to Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh when the collision occurred.

Police have registered a case and are investigating.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot tweeted that “The death of 11 people in a collision between a bus that had come from Gujarat, and a trailer in Bharatpur is extremely said. The police administration is present at the spot and the injured have been admitted to the hospital. I pray to God to give peace to the souls of all the deceased and courage to the families. May God give speedy recovery to all the injured.”
