Officer brothers transferred to MCC; younger one DC, elder Zonal Commissioner

Mysuru: KAS Officer Somashekar S Jigani took charge as Deputy Commissioner (Administration) of Mysuru City Corporation.
Somashekar had previously served as District Minorities Officer in Mysuru and Backward Classes Welfare Officer in Mandya. He penned a song ‘Corona Gellona’ in Kannada, that motivated many to fight against Covid-19 pandemic with a new vigour.
Somashekar’s elder brother Mahesh Kumar S Jigani is a Karnataka State Prisons Service (KSPS) Officer and was the Superintendent of Central Prisons, Mysuru.
Interestingly, Mahesh Kumar Jigani has been transferred as Commissioner of Zone-3 of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC). However, Mahesh Kumar is yet to take charge of his posting to MCC.
They (Somashekar and Mahesh Kumar) are the sons of retired KAS Officer Siddaiah, who had served as Executive Officer of Chamundeshwari Temple at Chamundi Hill in the city.
