Bengaluru: The much-awaited Cabinet meeting scheduled for June 1 where the Congress government was expected to take a decision on implementing its five guarantees, has now been postponed to June 2.
Informing this to the mediapersons here on Wednesday, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the matter will be taken up at Friday’s cabinet meeting.
On Wednesday, a meeting of all ministers and officials of various departments was held at Vidhana Soudha to evolve measures to implement the Congress government’s five guarantees. But the officials from the Finance department have reportedly opposed the government’s five guarantees claiming burden on the treasury, forcing the government to postpone the cabinet meeting. Meanwhile, the officials have sought more time and preparation to implement the guarantees. Hence, the cabinet meeting has been postponed to Friday, June 2.
