Nina Pereira passes away at 88

Mysuru: Nina Pereira, wife of late Dr Nazareth Pereira passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday (June 29). She was 88.
A renowned social worker, inspiring teacher, loving mother, doting grandmother, tech savvy great grandmother, prayerful and lead singer in the choir at St Philomena’s Cathedral.
An active member in all the Church associations, she had won several awards for her service to the society.
She is survived by seven children – John/ Judy, Dominic/Susan, Vilma/ Joseph, Desmond/Premila, Michael/Cecelia, Allwyn/ Laveena, Gerald/ Sunitha, 14 grand children – Javeen, Spoorthi, Joshwini, Amar, Savina, Rudy, Charmaine, Ben, Nathaniel, Tina, Kiran, Nina, Kavitha, Naveen, Vinitha, Mayur, Vernon, Nikita, Vivek, Adarsh, Renee, Renita, Renish and Clarita; 10 great grand children – Ronith, Rayaan, Andrew, Anabelle, Nikith, Kanish, Keith, Neil, Angelina and Benedict.
The funeral service was held at Catholic Cemetery at Gandhinagar on Mahadevapura road on Wednesday (June 30) at 12 noon.
