Newspapers distributors Assn fetes top scoring students

Mysuru: Twenty three top scoring students of SSLC and second PUC exams were felicitated with talent award on December25. The Mysore District Authorised Newspapers Distributors Association had organised the award distribution ceremony for the children’s of its members.

Calendar of 2020 brought out by Mysore District Authorised Newspapers Distributors Association was released in Mysuru.

Seventeen among them are SSLC toppers and six are of second PUC. They were feted with a certificate and cash prize.

Chamaraja MLA L Nagendra who released the calendar of year 2020 brought out by the Association announced to deposit Rs one lakh in the name of the Association.

He also promised to take measures to distribute housing facilities to the needy.

Former MLA Vasu said “The children of the newspaper distributors need proper career guidance and medical facilities”.

Mysore District Journalists Association president C K Mahendra said ” Newspaper distributors should organise themselves in a better way to tap more benefits and be self- reliant”. Senior journalist Amshi Prasanna Kumar was felicitated for his lifetime achievement.

Newspapers Distributors Association President B N Nayak, past president Janardhan, Head ( Circulation) The Hindu Girish and Ravi were present.
