New Mayor Tasneem for ‘Clean Mysuru’ throughout the year

Mysuru: Newly elected Mayor Tasneem has a priority- to keep Mysuru City clean throughout the year.
In her maiden media briefing after her recent election to Mayor office, Tasneem said ahead of “Swachh Survekshana 2020” we have given preference to cleanliness and citizen feedback to retain top ranking among clean cities.
In 2019, we could not garner much in the category of citizen feedback. It is the top priority this time and we kindly seek citizens feedback to the survekshan.
Mayor explained that citizen feedback exercise is going on well, with already a survey team roaming in the city. While we are visiting every house and requesting for the feedback. We have gained 40,000 votes in a day and we need 60,000 votes more to achieve the target, she claimed.
Mayor also mentioned a that few days back, she had conveyed a meeting with all the officials of MCC and discussed with them about the effective implementation of cleanliness, she said.
Regarding cleanliness issues within the outer-ring road limits, we will take confidence of other civic bodies to manage cleanliness, she added.
Modern abbattoir is my pet project, as it is very much needed in the city. I will discuss with Chamundeshwari constituency MLA G T Devegowda and identify a suitable place without disturbing thecpublic to take up the project, she stated.
