Mysuru sculptor’s Ram Lalla idol selected to be installed at Ayodhya Ram Mandir

Mysuru: Arun Yogiraj Shilpi, a renowned sculptor from Mysuru is on cloud nine for his Ram Lalla idol selected to be installed at Ayodhya Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh on January 22.

Arun Yogiraj’s Ramlalla idol was finalised after a rigorous process, thus making not just the Mysuru based sculptor proud, but also Mysuru and Karnataka State.

The 51 inches tall idol is carved by Arun with the black stone from Harohalli in Mysuru district.

Arun Yogiraj’s family members also confirmed that the idol sculpted by Arun is finalised and expressed their happiness to media persons.

Arun Yogiraj is the son of State award winner sculptor late Yogiraj and his grandfather Basavannachar was also a prominent sculptor of his time in Mysuru.

Arun Yogiraj had earlier carved Sri Adishankaracharya’s statue now placed at Samadhi place of Shankara at Kedarnath.

Freedom Fighter and Indian National Army founder Subash Chandra Bose’a statue installed at Kartavya Path in Delhi was also the creation of Arun Yogiraj.
