MPs, farmer leaders delegation meets Union Agri Minister over sugarcane

New Delhi: A delegation of MPs from various States including Mandya MP from Karnataka Sumalatha Ambareesh met Union Minister for Agriculture Narendra Singh Thomar over sugar cane related issues.
The members of the delegation discussed about the guidelines to fix fair and remunerative price (FRP) for sugarcane, amendments to Sugarcane Control Act 1996 and other issues related to cane growers.
The delegation included Rajya Sabha member L Hanumanthaiah from Karnataka, Sugarcane Growers Association President Kurbur Shanthakumar, Parashuram Ettinagudda from Dharwad, and other farmer leaders.
