Mother dies, but saves life of her two-year-old son as house collapses

Mysuru: A woman saved the life of her two-year-old son, by throwing him out, but she lost her life, as the house they were living in, collapsed due to heavy rain at Kaggundi village in Periyapatna taluk in the district on Friday.
Hemalatha of Kaggundi, who acted in the nick of time, throwed the baby outside the house, as she got a hint of the house falling due to rain. However, she succumbed to the injuries, as she was caught amid the debries of her house made of red sand.
This act of Hemalatha has come under praise, as the mother always take care of her children, by pleadging her life.
Mysuru- Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, who inspected the site of mishap at Kaggundi village, assured to provide a relief of Rs 5 lakh from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
