MITM Mega Job Fair: 334 offered job letters, 690 shortlisted

Mysuru: As many as 334 candidates were offered job letters on the spot at the fifth Mega Job Fair -2023 at Maharaja Institute of Technology Mysore (MITM) organised by Maharaja Education Trust (R), Mysuru, today (August 12, Saturday).

The Job Fair was inaugurated at 9.30 AM, by the trust members of Maharaja Education Trust (MET), Srirangapatna MLA Ramesh Babu and B S Shivanna, Chairman, Ramamanohar Lohiya Thinkers Forum, Bengaluru.

A total of 104 companies participated in the fair while 4000+ job aspirants, of which 2428 had registered online and rest of the candidates walked in without a prior registration. Of the registered students 47% had opted for jobs in IT sector, 28% for non-IT sector and rest of the applicants for other sectors.

The job fair was so planned that each company and aspirant were segregated according to their prefilled registration form and were allowed to meet each other in the allocated interview rooms.
A total of 1024 offers were confirmed, of which 334 jobs to the selected candidates were given on the spot and 690 candidates were shortlisted for further rounds.

MET President Dr Murali S, Vice-president Dr G Hemanth Kumar, Secretary Dr Vasudev T, Joint Secretary Dr H K Chethan, Treasurer Dr D S Guru, Principal Dr Naresh Kumar B G and Convenors Dr Mohamed Khaisar and Dr Shivamurthy R C and Administrative Officer Aniruddha A M were present.
