Mission 50 lakh: BJP target to enrol new members in Karnataka

Bengaluru: Buoyed by the resounding performance of the party in the recent Lok Sabha elections mainly in Karnataka where the party won 25 seats against total 28, BJP State president B S Yeddyurappa has promised to enrol 50 lakh new members.
Yeddyurappa made the promise during a video- conferencing with new working president of the party J P Nadda.
Previously the party in the State had enrolled 80 lakh new members and the target to enrol another 50 lakh members can be achieved with the State IT cell very active, Yeddyurappa learnt to have made this promise.
Former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh and national in charge of membership campaign Shivaraj Singh Chouhan who took part in the video conference, said that the enrolment drive will start from July 6 on account of the birth anniversary of Dr Shyamaprasad Mukherjee and will conclude on August 11.
IT Cell national convener Amit Malaviya briefed about the innovative programmes planned to boost the enrolment campaign.
Nadda who got into action mode soon after assuming office emphasised on focusing on those places where the party could not enrol more members. The efforts should be made to reach the enrolment till Shakti Kendra.
