Mayhem rainfall in Hunsur! Hangod bridge under water

Mysuru: Following heavy rains a bridge connecting Hangod- Kolavige is totally submerged at Hunsur taluk in the district.
As the bridge is under water, connectivity to 15 to 20 villages is lost severely inconveniencing the people.
Around 15 to 20 houses have also collapsed due to rain. The entire Konana Hosahalli village is vacated and the villagers are temporarily rehabilitated at Girijana Ashrama School and the class rooms have been opened for the purpose.
The farmers in the region are also staring at a loss as maize and other crops have been destroyed in the downpour. Private properties are also destroyed to a larger extent.
Amid this, the relief is dip in rainfall in Mysuru especially in Hunsur taluk and Kodagu district.
