Mysuru: City police stumbled upon a Central Bureau of investigation (CBI) officer during the night curfew on Tuesday.
As the photo in the ID card didn’t match with that of the photo of person in question, a report has been submitted to court to initiate further action.
Both the man who claimed to be CBI officer and another person have been taken into custody.
According to a press note on daily Covid violations report issued from police commissioner’s office, it is stated that “Mandi police stopped a car with two persons inside, moving in violation of night curfew restrictions. When the police enquired Ramesh and another person were those travelling in the car and one among them claimed himself to be CBI officer and produced the ID card. However the photo of the person in ID card was different from the person who claimed to be his. Both the persons were taken into custody and the car was seized. ”
