Lockdown! City police seize 303 vehicles, says DCP Prakash Gowda

Mysuru: City police who have pulled up their socks to implement lockdown in the wake of Coronavirus, have seized 303 vehicles till March 30.

These are the vehicles belonging to those who were found moving on the roads without any justifying reasons in violation of prohibitory orders. Majority of 285 are motorcycles, 10 autorickshaws and eight four wheels.
DCP (law and order) Dr A N Prakash Gowda told media ” the traffic automation centre is dispatching notices to errant vehicle owners. They have been issued a show cause notice seeking their explanation till March 31. If they come out with satisfactory replies, vehicle will be released. Or else, if will be returned after April 14 when the lockdown ends”.
The vehicles are being booked wity the help of closed circuit TV cameras, said DCP.
