MCC sets up markets at seven different localities

Mysuru: As a measure to check the spread of Coronavirus, Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has decided to decentralise the vegetable market to seven different locations in the city.

Drinking water, toilets, lights would be provided. Marking will be done for social distancing. This would be starting from today evening 6 pm, according to a release from MCC Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde.

The very initiative is to avoid rush at Dasara Exhibition Ground where a temporary market has been set up, after shifting the vegetable Market from M G road. People can buy vegetables, fruits and daily needs here.

The markets will be set up at Following places.

1 Food mela ground, next to Lalith Mahal Palace, 50 push carts will be allowed, vehicles from T Narsipur will be allowed, MCC Zonal office- 01 limits.

2 Dasara Exhibition Grounds, 80 push carts, T Narsipur vehicles, MCC Zonal Office- 01.

3 BEML last bus stand, Srirampura, 60 carts, H D Kote vehicles, MCC zonal office-2 limits.

4 Devanur first stage, stadium place, near NIMRA mosque, 60 carts, Bannur and Malvalli limits, MCC zonal office- 08 limits.

5 Chamundi Vihar Stadium ground, 40 carts, Bannur and Malvalli vehicles, MCc zonal office- 09 limits.

6 Sunday Market, Vijayanagar second stage, 60 carts, Hunsur vehicles, MCC zonal office- 03.

7 Bannimantap ground, Bengaluru road, 70 carts, K R S, Srirangapatna, Palahalli and Anandur vehicles, MCC zonal office- 07.
