Locals agree for widening of Urwa- Sultan Battery road

Mangaluru: Mangaluru south MLA Vedavyas Kamath has suceeded in convincing locals for taking up the works on widening of Urwa- Sultan Battery road, on September 14.
Kamath held a meeting of public at Urwa Billava Sangha premises and succeeded in seeking the consent of dissenting locals who were opposing the works.
Sultan Battery in Bolur that has a historical significance should be developed further as a tourist spot. Various works are taken up to develop roads in the coastal town. The works between Ladyhill circle and Urwa coffee bungalow junction is already completed. The continued works up to Sultan Battery should be completed.
Finally, the locals who had earlier expressed their reservations agreed to take up the works.
