Kashmir youths coming to Mysuru on youth exchange programme

Mysuru: Far away from the constant noise of gunshots in their hometown, 132 youths from various hilly areas of Kashmir will get a chance to experience peaceful life in Mysuru.

They will be participating in a six-day youth exchange programme at Nehru Yuva Kendra in Mysuru. Among 132 youth, 22 are women, said BR Poornima, Additional Deputy Commissioner here on Thursday.

These students hail from Kupwara, Baramulla, Anantnag, Budgam and Pulwama of Kashmir State and they are the members of youth club. The youth exchange is an effort to provide these youth an opportunity to experience peaceful life here, Poornima added.

During their stay here, the youths will visit TVS Plant, climb Chamundi Hill and visit Heritage buildings and tourist destinations in Mysuru. Kashmir youths will also join JSS College of Pharmacy’s National Integration Camp, said NYK coordinator Sidramappa.
