Karnataka Elections: Lakshmi Aruna is richer than Reddy; has 96.23 cr worth assets!

Ballari: Mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy’s wife and Ballari City candidate for Kalyana Rajya Pragathi Paksha, Gali Lakshmi Aruna is way richer than her husband. Yet, she does not own a car in her name.
In an affidavit submitted along with her nomination on Monday, Lakshmi Aruna has declared that she does not own a car.
The ‘crorepati’ candidate has Rs 96.23 cr worth movable assets while her husband Janardhan Reddy owns Rs 29.20 cr worth movable assets. Her immovable assets are valued at Rs 104.38 cr but Janardhan Reddy has just 8 cr worth immovable assets. Lakshmi Aruna has innumerable sites, flats, commercial complexes, houses in Bengaluru and Ballari besides agricultural lands in various villages. However, she has Rs 1.76 lakh cash in hand and Reddy has 1.33 lakh cash.
In terms of jewellery, Lakshmi Aruna has Rs 77.20 lakh worth silver articles and Rs 16.44 cr worth gold and diamond jewellery. Gali Janardhan Reddy has Rs 32.18 lakh worth silver articles and his gold and diamond jewellery collections are valued at Rs 7.93 cr.
Besides, she has invested in various of entities including in that of her family holdings that include Rs 29.55 cr in OMC, Rs 25.08 cr in Brahmini Industries, Rs 18.27 cr in Mudita Properties, Rs 1 cr in Tubular Rivets Firm, Rs 1 cr in Kireeti Aviation, Rs 3.42 cr in ODC Corporation Limited, Rs 44 lakh in Aditya Birla Insurance Company. She has also pledged Rs 2 cr in SBI Mutual Fund in the name of her son Kireeti Reddy and Rs 5 cr in various other bonds and shares.
Meanwhile, Janardhan Reddy has invested Rs 19.58 cr in OMC, Rs 2.50 lakh in Lakshmi Aruna Oxygen Co. Pvt Ltd, Rs 2.50 lakh in Kireeti Power Corporation and Rs 1 cr in Kireeti Aviation, as per the affidavit.
Lakshmi Aruna has obtained a loan of Rs 96.23 cr on her movable properties and Rs 74.89 cr loan on immovable properties; while Janardhan Reddy has a loan of Rs 34.61 cr and her son Kireeti Reddy has a loan of Rs 7.66 cr.
