New Delhi: BJP announced its first list of 189 candidates for the Karnataka Assembly elections, and has pitted Revenue Minister R Ashoka against KPCC President D K Shivakumar at Kanakapura Assembly constituency.
Ashoka will contest both from Kanakapura and Padmanabha Nagar constituency in Bengaluru.
Kanakapura is the Vokkaliga dominated seat, and hence BJP has fielded Ashoka also a Vokkaliga to take on D K Shivakumar who has been the undisputed leader in this part of Ramanagar taluk.
