Chikkamagaluru: Udupi- Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje has thanked Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa for declaring Kalasa in Chikkamagaluru as a new taluk.
According to a press release from the MP’s office, it is stated that ” It was a long pending demand of the people of Kalasa and Horanadu in Mudigere Assembly segment to see Kalasa as a new taluk. It had been brought to the notice of the chief minister in the form of a letter a year ago.”
Now, the chief minister has made it a reality and thank the chief minister on behalf of the people of new Kalasa taluk, the release added.
