Journalist M B Maramkal appointed political advisor to chief minister

Bengaluru: Senior journalist M B Maramkal has been appointed as the political advisor to Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa.
Maramkal is appointed in his new role with cabinet rank status according to a notification issued on October 30.
Maramkal who resides at Bogadi in Mysuru, had retired as the assistant editor of Times of India and was heading the Mysuru bureau for over two decades.
