JDS MLA Anitha Kumaraswamy not to contest Assembly elections

Ramangara: JDS MLA from Ramanagara Anitha Kumaraswamy has stated that she would not contest in the Assembly elections, this time Making this clear, wife of former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, Anitha tweeted that there is no question of her contesting Assembly elections this time around. Instead, she will allow her son and Sandalwood actor Nikhil Kumaraswamy to contest from Ramanagara.
In a series of tweet, Anitha Kumaraswamy said that it was on the directions of party supremo H D Deve Gowda and JDS leader H D Kumaraswamy that she contested elections. She has faced both defeat and victory and she has always followed the orders of Deve Gowda and other party leaders. She also claimed that she has never done anything that could dent the party’s image and she will never do so in future, too.

Her tweet comes at a time when Bhavani Revanna, wife of H D Revanna, JDS MLA and brother of H D Kumaraswamy, is demanding to contest from Hassan Assembly seat. However, JDS leader H D Kumaraswamy has been stating that the Hassan Assembly ticket will be given to party loyalist.
Ever since she has made this demand, the infighting among the brothers and the family is out in the open. However, it is not yet clear who will contest from Hassan constituency.
On Sunday, a meeting was held with regard to the announcement of second list of candidates at the residence of former prime minister H D Deve Gowda. The party was expected to announce the ticket on Monday. However, there has been no word on it, yet.
