Janaspandana: Hoteliers demand uniform tax for commercial buildings

Mysuru: Hotel Owners Association ( HOA), Mysuru on Thursday urged Higher Education and District In- charge Minister G T Devegowda for introducing uniform tax for commercial buildings in the city.
In his memorandum to the minister during the janaspandana programme organised by the district administration at J K Grounds in the city, Association president C Narayan Gowda brought it to the notice of the minister that, presently Mysuru City Corporation is collecting tax according to its whims and fancy by imposing tax on the basis of big business and small business from the past 10 years.
The lacunae should be addressed and uniform tax system should be introduced for commercial structures, he has demanded further.
