Ashada Friday puja: Devotees throng Chamundi Hill

Mysuru: Thousands of devotees are thronging Chamundi Hill for Ashada Friday Puja mahotsava that started on Friday. Braving morning mist, devout minded people were seen standing in queue for dharma Darshana.

Higher Education and district in-charge minister G T Devegowda, accompanied by his wife Lalitha and son G D Harish Gowda and other members of the family also visited the temple during the early hours. Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa who is an ardent devotee of the Goddess also had the Darshan.

The idol of the presiding deity and utsava murty are decorated with colourful flowers. The temple has been decorated with variety of flowers, with the devotees toiling hard to keep the flowers alive.
