1 min read

Mysuru: As the row that has erupted over the animosity between MCC Commissioner Shilpa Nag and Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri seems to be heading towards no respite, Cooperation and Mysuru district incharge minister S T  Somashekar has decided to meet the chief secretary in Bengaluru.

Today I am going to meet Chief Secretary P Ravikumar regarding the two officers clash,” Somashekar told media persons on Saturday.

“It’s a team work of all the 11 constituencies MLAs and officers, Asha workers, pourakarmikas who are all a part of the Covid battle,” said Somashekar clearly saying that nobody can take individual credit in controlling pandemic in the district.

“I haven’t not given any information to Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa. CM got information from his own sources on Mysuru related developments. The chief secretary visited Mysuru yesterday and collected information, which he will submit in detail to CM today,” Somashekar claimed.

On Congress leaders demand for his resignation, Somashekar said “If Mysuru will become Corona free, upon abdicating my responsibility as a district incharge minister, I am ready to step down. I am not the reason for this dispute (between two IAS officers). Congress lacks ethics and hence they are dragging me into this issue,” Somashekar stated.
