RTI activist alleges land mafia ‘hounding’ DC, rains allegations against Sa Ra Mahesh

1 min read

Mysuru: Amidst the news of Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri taking on land mafia only to face the wrath of those involved in it, a RTI activist has called it true.

In a press conference convened at a private hotel here on Saturday, RTI activist Gangaraju alleged that “the deputy commissioner is being targeted by the land mafia only for ordering a probe into a dubious land dealing, with former minister and K R Nagar MLA Sa Ra Mahesh involved in it.”

Releasing documents in support of his allegation, Gangaraju alleged that “Survey no-115 of Kergalli in Mysuru taluk is riddled with controversy. Though the extent of land under the survey number is 129 acres, RTC has been made for 191 acres, with 61 acres being the additional land.”

Mahesh claims ownership of the land and also claims to have developed layouts in 500 acres of land. However, such details do not reflect in his poll affidavit, alleged Gangaraju.

When the owner of the land Ganapathi Reddy enquired, Mahesh abused and threatened seeking records.

A complaint in this regard has been already lodged at a police station.

Mahesh himself has spoken about irregularities and I have audio record. When I brought everything to the notice of Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri a probe was ordered into it. Since then attempts are being made to hatch a plot to disturb her,” alleged Gangaraju.
