Hotelier among three booked for violating lockdown rules

Mysuru: Three persons including a hotelier have been booked for violating lockdown orders.
According to a FIR registered at Vijayanagar police station, Nagaraj owner of a restaurant at MUDA complex, KD road, Vijayanagar first stage, worker Mahadeva Swamy and customer Sampath are booked under various sections of IPC.
PSI Ramesh was on rounds when the restaurant was found open and the customer was allowed to consume food on the premises.
According to the prevailing rules in the wake of lockdown only parcel services are allowed, while it has been restricted to serve the customers on the premises. The precautionary measures are taken to restrict people to their house and check assembling of people in groups to avoid spreading of Coronavirus.
The trio were taken into custody and the charges were framed under IPC sections 188, 269, 271 and 51 (b), national disaster management Act 2005 and section 3 of Epidemic Diseases Act 1897.
The case was booked under the directions of Police Commissioner Dr Chandragupta, DCP (law and order) Dr A N Prakash Gowda, ACP Shivashankar and Inspector Balakrishna.
