Deluge near schools puts students at risk

Mysuru: Following heavy rains being received in the city in the recent days, most of the potholes have turned into a deluge.
Such potholes near schools pose a danger and students stare at risk. When heavy vehicles pass through such junctions a splash of water is suffice to create fear in the minds of the students. The elders may avoid such potholes, but the students in primary levels are sure to face a trouble. A stain on their uniform will earn their parents wrath.
A van driver who ferries school students regularly said ‘ I have been requesting the school authorities to repair a pothole in front of the main gate. It has fallen on deaf ears. The students are used to run at a spree as the bell rings. One can easily understand what may happen if they accidentally land their legs on potholes. They may either trip or suffer a sprain for no fault of theirs’.
