Mysuru: Congress leaders celebrated the birthday of former Krishnaraja MLA M K Somashekar at the party office Indira Bhavan near Railway Station on Tuesday.
Mysore District Rural Congress Committee President Dr B J Vijaykumar felicitated Somashekar with Peta (headgear), shawl and bouquet on the occasion.
Corporator J Gopi, Congress leaders Dairy Venkatesh, H A Venkatesh, Srinivas, former Mayor Pushpalatha T B Chikkanna and several other leaders extended birthday wishes to Somashekar.
Somashekar who was a two- time MLA from Congress, is a strong ticket aspirant from Krishnaraja Assembly constituency for the forthcoming Legislative Assembly elections.
