Will quit politics, if party candidate fails to win in Yashwanthpur: HDK

1 min read

Bengaluru: Former chief minister and JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy declared that he would retire from politics if the party candidate fails to win in Yeshwanthpur Assembly constituency, in the upcoming Assembly elections. He further said that he would move heaven and earth to ensure Javarayigowda’s win in the elections.

Addressing party workers here on Tuesday, he declared that Javarayigowda who narrowly lost in the last three elections, is the party candidate this time. “He may have narrowly lost in the previous elections. But, the people of the constituency have sympathy for him. I am sure, this time, people will elect him. I will take personal responsibility for his win,” Kumaraswamy said.

Touching various issues in the constituency, Kumaraswamy observed that waste disposal is a big mafia. There are advanced techniques of waste disposal but the government is not showing any commitment to it, he accused. He claimed that if the party comes to power, they will address it on priority.

MLA Annadani was present.
