Gang rape! Mysuru police arrest five accused in Tamil Nadu

Mysuru: In a major breakthrough in investigation into gang rape case, Mysuru police have arrested five accused in Tamil Nadu. They will be soon brought to Mysuru.

According to sources, the investigators were able to trace the whereabouts of the accused on the basis of their mobile tower network, on Friday night.
On the evening of August 24, around 6-45 PM to 7-30 PM five to six members gang of youths sexually assaulted the MBA Student of a reputed college in the city.
The girl along with her boyfriend had gone to a serene place near the foothills of Chamundi on Lalithadripura main road, when the incident occurred.
Following day Alanahalli police booked a FIR on the basis of the girl’s friend’s complaint.
ADGP (Law and order) Prathap Reddy was made the head of investigation team.
Acting on the leads gathered through mobile tower location of the accused, from the crime scene, the police had launched search operations in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
