Free ride for women in KSRTC buses: Report to be submitted to Govt, tomorrow, says minister Reddy

Bengaluru: A report on providing free ride for women in KSRTC buses and the expenses that may be incurred due to this will soon be submitted to the government – on Wednesday – as the cabinet will meet on Thursday, informed Transport Minister R Ramalinga Reddy.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, he said the Congress government will implement its guarantees promised during the election. Transport officials have prepared a feasibility report of providing free ride for women in KSRTC buses. Reports have been obtained from all the KSRTC divisions including BMTC. Besides, reports have details of how many women travel and how much expenses it may require and so on, he informed.
The cabinet will meet on Thursday and the guarantees will be discussed here. It may be implemented soon, he added.
