IPS B Dayananda appointed Bengaluru City Police Commissioner

Bengaluru: Just a few days after the Congress party formed a new government in Karnataka, Senior IPS officer B Dayananda has been made the new Bengaluru City Police Commissioner. Previously, he was serving as the ADGP, Intelligence and he will now replace C H Pratap Reddy, who has been transferred as DGP, Internal Security Division.

The government has also transferred Special Commissioner (Traffic) M A Saleep as DGP Criminal Investigation Department and CID DGP Sharath Chandra has been transferred as ADGP Intelligence.

B Dayananda, 1994 batch officer, is the recipient of the President’s Medal for Meritorious Service in 2011 and also the United Nations Medal for World Peace Keeping Service.
